The Passion of Alexander III
In 336 BC, Philip was assassinated in front of his adoring crowd. His son Alexander is now head of a unified and flourishing Macedonia. The young king must move swiftly to prove himself but has plenty of enemies. After defeating the Persian king Darius III, he conquers western Persia. Next, he heads to Egypt, where his army is victorious in battle after battle until he controls the eastern Mediterranean coast.
