The Risks of Bookmaking
There is definitely more risk involved both for the punter and the bookmaker. The spreads normally wide enough where if you actually converted it to a fixed-olds prices on quite a bit of margin in it. You were then relying heavily on the skills of the trader to make sure that that price was around about where it should be. It's not no risk but you can try and balance as much as you can and offset some of your liability with something like sporting index.
