Is There a World Outside Consciousness?
Nothing other than consciousness ever comes into existence or goes out of existence. There is just consciousness, coloring itself with its own activity and then ceasing to color itself. So the inference that there is a world outside consciousness made of matter is of a completely different order of inference from the idea that there may be other minds apart from our own.
