The Ammonium Hydrogen Exchanger

The NH4, the ammonium that's created, then exits the cell via the sodium hydrogen exchanger. And I kind of love that because it almost doesn't matter whether it's secreting the hydrogen here or ammonium ion here. They're both accomplishing the same goal of essentially clearing the acid load,. It gives us, I feel like ammonium is a sneaky guy.
