All those cells now remade into virus factories, turning to goo and mush. And i left traces of it on everything i touched. So far the ash hasn't worked its way in through the city's water system. Or maybe it has, and it was invisible like the microplastics in the lake. I wondered what it was doing to me inside. Like a moment before i'd been terrified. But i could not remember how or why.
