Jack the Ending
I reread the ending several times this time and I thought wow it doesn't end as happily as you might first think upon first reading it. It reminded me a little bit of the ending of Pride and Prejudice where I felt that kind of also ambiguous kind of ending. Yeah we've just taken away our safety net and our support system and all of that and it is now on our own. So in some of the later editions of A Room With a View Forster added an appendix to the novel which he called it a view without a room Where he says okay young love is all well and good. That's how they interpreted that ambiguous ending.
