The ability to own your network and to be able to set up a private network with exactly the same technology as a public network is quite unique in this field. In the design of LoRaWEN, it was never designed for a particular industry or a particular geography even. So from the very beginning, the people who wrote the LoRaWens specification were aware that LoRaWen should be used anywhere in the world.
