Skinner wanted to teach his pigeons to discriminate between the green light and the red. He had a PhD student called Terrace who did this in an elegant way. Eventually, if enough trials occur, pigeon starts to only pick the green light because that's the only one by which it gets fed. And she says her pigeons were far happier because they didn't make any errors. Errors are not a good thing. They damage children.
