A key development for you in this period is the invention of a new alphabet. And I suppose my question here is, why do this? Why not use Greek if Greek was there, or why not use the Latin alphabet? What was behind the invention of Cyrillic? It came to be created by a Byzantine sort of East Medieval East Roman missionary who was on mission to convert the local Slavonic speaking peoples. That's a very different question to how did it survive?"
