Why Should Politicians Take Notice of the Results?
Peter Lacey was recently elected as a centre ground liberal democrat councillor in Harrogate. During his campaign he took on board the results of local issues that were discussed on polis. Peter still thinks politicians would be wise to take notice of the results. There are citizen assemblies powered by technology elsewhere as well like Decide Madrid which is an online platform where people basically vote on proposals and if they get really popular they can get taken up by the government there.
