The End of the Poser
The word poser was entered English in 1869 as one who practices affected attitudes and by the right it was a damn. It was widespread use to describe someone who pretended to be something they were not especially someone who was superficial and trendy. So I guess this is actually hardcore all throughout the 20th century. Dan: Maybe we can talk about it finally being over now but I don't actually think that's true.
