Is Blue Hydrogen Attractive to the Fossil Fuel Industry?
Blue hydrogen is very attractive for the fossil fuel industry. It's mainly, as I say, used for fertilizer, which of course is essential. Green hydrogen is a little bit of a smoke screen in my view because it requires so much energy that it's not really practical. We're no longer going to be powering cars with fossil fuels with petrol or heating our homes with gas. All that's, we think, going to go electric. So if you can have hydrogen and yourself 40% more gas, that is like a real blessing for a fossil fuel industry that has problems on the horizon.
