Parker's Pensées

CHAPTER

Is There a Law of Nature?

I would be comfortable calling it a law I think some people might be more squeamish about that description just because they think of laws as kind of summary descriptions of the natural causal powers of things and according to this non-emergentist view like no nothing in nature has the causal power to generate an immaterial soul. But you know putting this within a theistic context where just like any other law it's kind of up to God’s discretion whether he's going to like act on it in any particular case he could miraculously decide to suspend the law and that sort of thing so yeah we're not really what we're talking about.
