Tesle's initial cancellation of b t c payments over environmental concerns was one of the contributing factors to the crash in mid may. Now that more than 50 % of all bit coin mining is done using renewable energy, tesle will likely begin accepting b t c again. When this announcement inevitably comes, it's likely that other companies will follow suit. Another wild card that could be thrown into the mix is paypow which could potentially support contactless point of sale payments with crypto currency.
