The Virtues of the Intellect and Moral Virtue and Tandem

There are multiple intellectual virtues and one of them is in a way indispensable for the perfection of character. I mean there are people with good hearts and dim sight and they want to do good but they don't understand and they blunder. The spirit of inquiry can be informed by the love of the good rather than by cynicism, skepticism, suspicion and the like. But I take a kind of edifying view of the possibility of learning as long as it's not meant to undercut, tear down, deconstruct what have you.
