Zooming in and Zooming Out to Create Context

A lot of my visual artwork from you know years ago was kind of collages or configurations of things that were cut out from Google Earth so it's a favorite pastime of mine to kind of like scroll over Google Earth for hours. I had a solo show in 2014 that was all about infrastructure and we scheduled a tour of the San Francisco wastewater treatment plant for 9 a.m. on a Saturday which I did not think anybody would come to but it actually filled up. It made more sense to me that I felt drawn to looking at the familiar everyday from the point of view of something that's very not familiar and not everyday.
