And when it first surfaced in 1997 as an unfinished manuscript, it kicked off like a small bidding war between publishers who all wanted their rights to it. So yeah, she kind of knows what she's doing. I think the like, I have a novel under my bed and I'm tortured about the fact that I can't do anything with it is, I think she's kind of critiquing that a little bit.
