Sally Kohn: You and I both come from seminary backgrounds. As you have sort of explored commentary by artists and by music, how has that impacted your approach to scripture? Kohn: For me, if you want to be hermeneutically hermeneUTically faithful to the biblical text, then there are some things you have to understand about how the texts were written. And so in scripture, it's very lean. There's not a lot of extemporaneous stuff.
