I've just got back from an island a Japanese desert island called Ochima. It's about a two-hour boat ride or it's three hours sorry 30 minutes by plane and so I set off with the great Sea Dog VA for a wacky weekend on Oshima scorted around by good old Dan. This island is sort of dying out like a lot of Japan's islands it's fascinating Like Japan has 14,000 islands and interestingly only this year there was 6,800 islands in Japan that was the official number 6,852 but they found 7,000 down the back of the sofa which is awesome and cool but they're all dying out.
