The Megasites of the Ukrainian Steppe
Megasites may be the earliest cities anywhere on the planet. They didn't leave behind an urban tradition of any kind, says Andrew Keen. The houses themselves were of the same type Cucutani Tribilia people had built at their normal settlements. A single two-story house would have taken 10 to 12 people a month to construct.
