The Relationship Between a Woman and a Lesbian in the Victorian Era

In some ways she was afforded more freedoms during the victorian area than really when she's moving into the nineteenth century and then right through to the 19 fifties. For women, it wasn't really expected that they even had any of sexual nature or inclination. So there wasn't suspicion cast over close relationships with woman. Woman being very close friends, was encouraged even romantic friendship was often thought of as good practice for marriage. But i think it's real interesting. She's such an interesting character because she really carved out safe spaces for her friends, her lesbian friends. And this is something that is really inspiring to us to daya.
