The Origins of the Milky Way
The first time we really realized we weren't at the center was in the 1900s when they started looking at the distribution of globular clusters. And so by just counting the surface density of stars without having modern telescopic equipment and not being able to see in colors your eyeballs don't see in, you can start to see that we aren't there. But it was a modern discovery because dust. Right.
