Mega Church Pastors - What Is It?
The mega church model emerged as a baby boomer by product. It emerged in the 70s and early 80s when people who had grown up in more traditional, arguably more boring forms of church were recognizing that a lot of their neighbors were not interested in church. The idea was that the church would feel just like any other place that you might drive to in any given week. A consistent theme in mega church culture is to have Sunday morning worship center on preaching or speaking of the lead pastor.
