We Are the World by USA for Africa
We Are The World was the first single in US history to be certified multi-platinum for sales of 4 million. Globally, total sales for World are estimated at more than 20 million. An accompanying album, also called We Are The World, topped Billboard's album chart and went triple platinum. At the 1986 Grammys, we Are The World won Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
