Nostrodomis Was Not an Astrologer

Nostrodomus was not an astrologer, which is presumably why he never called himself one. He loved to sit out under the stars at night and felt that the stars spoke to him. Beneath that sense, he saw himself as a mystic, rather than as an astrological technician. Why might he have so many references to the past in writings about the future? The proposed answer is because he thinks history repeats itself.
