How to Leak Into the American Academy
People hire people in an academy who have similar ideological dispositions. The more of those you get published, as a general rule, it's seven papers and seven years and you get tenure. When you're more likely to get tenure, you hire other people who have similar beliefs. So slowly the academy was, that's one explanation. There are multiple explanations. That's why I pause to think it's a very complicated problem.
