What Is an Eclipse Attack?
An eclipse attack is essentially where a node believes that they're connected to multiple participants on the network. But really they're connected only to one adversarial entity. So now their view of the world has been eclipsed. And because proof of work is so there, still it's not quite game over. It's just very close.
