The History of Opiate Manufacturing in British Columbia
I'm glad you actually dipped into a bit of the history because I did actually want to step into that. And for many decades, these smoking opiate factories operated without any interference. In 1885, there was a commission of inquiry as to whether this was a legitimate form of business. The conclusion by the Chief Justice of the day was that alcohol seemed to be a much greater risk to consumers than opiates smoking opiate.
