The reason the book is so thick is its kind of like, you know, those dummies guide books. We start with albrecdur, and we take you from the fourteenth century up to muka's time. So that when you're looking at this work, your understanding not only all the data that he had, but what the spiritual climate was in paris at the time. The attention to the idea that there's more to the world than our eyes can see was extremely prevalent. And that's why the spiritualism was so elevated in the nineteenth century. I love that period in history in general.
