The Cambridge Latin Course With Crikeyllius

The great 17th century headmaster, Westminster Dr. Richard Busby wrote his own Latin and Greek grammars which went on to be used across the country over the centuries. Some of these texts really have great longevity that they get used down the ages and pass from father to son. We should do a future episode on the great classic science debate because there is a big debate in the 19th century about if we were preparing students for a scientific technological world. And it does sound a bit like the chapter quoting there is almost rehashing some of the arguments and saying yeah you know we're in and whoever these guys it was fine for them to learn classics because that was actually preparing for
