The Role of Electrocardiograms in Treatment of Sarcoidosis

In the absence of any cardiac symptoms, we would recommend electrocardiogram. Nearly half of the cases of sarcoidosis are asymptomatic and they're found incidentally. I usually begin with prednisone, but at a pretty modest dose of about 20 milligrams once daily. For patients who have intolerable side effects or recurrence after discontinuation of methotrexate, then I go to Fuximab.
