The Complexity of a System
A phone is not a complex system because it does what it's supposed to do. When you take nature as an example, I'm going to use birds. That is a system built up of parts being the birds or the organisms. But they are autonomous because each bird is its own thing. So that energy keeps the system together. In a dynamic environment, i.e. the world in this example, yeah, it takes energy to keep those systems together. And when the energy isn't enough or the energy isn’t maintained, entropy happens.
