The Importance of Morality in a Society
The cult of the self is antithetical to a moral life and to a society built on justice. It's manipulation, it's a penchant for lying, it's an incapacity for remorse or empathy. Those figures that embody those qualities are often celebrated within the society. I would argue that these are the values of corporations as well and it's now just writ large within thesociety.
