Do Driver Assist Systems Really Benefit Safety?

I was the first behavioral scientist that Volvo employed. And then, you know, funnily enough, I started with the detection of the key and distraction immediately. We're able to act, do proactive behaviors to avoid conflicts from even occurring. That means staying away from having to break hard or maneuver. It's not really that hard to come up with what the vehicle should do; it's more difficult to make it actually affordable.
