Is There a Better System for Income Taxes?

I think there is a point to which income taxes become quite counterproductive if the progression is too high, but I don't think we're there yet. We look at it as a collection of businesses and ideally we would own all of those businesses. Every business in its intrinsic valuation is 100% sensitive to interest rates. There may be one short term effect and there may be another long term effect on interest rates.
