The Wig Understanding of English Society

The traditional mainstream british wig understanding is that this was a great advance and a great victory for liberty it's traditionally called the glorious revolution by sympathizers because it succeeded in overthrowing the tyrant without shedding blood or with very little violence. But on the other hand there also have been more critical historians who take a much more cynical view of the sort of wig ruling circles that orchestrated this revolution. That maybe the catholic stewards could come back to the throne but only on the clear condition that the protestant church of england be protected they are fully committed to a protestant national church so this roughly speaking is the settlement that comes out of this overthrow of power.
