An important principle regarding the economy was brought to my attention by an essay written by Bruno Giussani, European director and global curator for TAD. The story has been used by anyone from the 13th century Islamic scholars to scientific author Carl Sagan to explain the power of exponential sequences. When we see advances in smartphones, language translation, block change, big analytics, self-driving cars, artificial intelligence, robotics, it's fascinating to see how the economy will continue to develop. We can't manage it from the top down and beat up individual companies for the action. It's got to be bottom-up driven within the constraints to the realistic constraints and realistic regulation.
