The Importance of Motivation in a Workplace

I worked for an organization and so we would talk about when we were hiring people how our target demographic is insecure overachievers. People who somewhere deep inside felt this anxiety of needing to prove themselves. I couldn't escape from that construct of the world of needing to seek seek approval and not getting it.
