Maximising the Position of the Less Avantaged Person
First book was called Democracy Beyond Borders and my second was called Global Responsibilities Who Must Deliver on Human Rights. One of the things that really shaped my consciousness is I realised that in places like say parts of whether it's Nigeria or Indonesia or India the state might not be able to deliver a whole lot of stuff. The second was I was very powerfully influenced by John Rawls who co-found, who really re-founded modern political philosophy. He had a key idea called Maximon which was maximise the position of the least advantaged person.
