The owner of the tether company, he's now sitting on 69 billion dollars. He can invest that money in different things and if any earnings on those investments go to him. So his incentive is to invest in weird stuff to try and make some money. And what i found was that a fair amount of it, billions, was invested in chinese commercial paper.
