The Benefits of Vegetable Tan Leather
English bridal has a really firm hand to it, meaning that it's the thicker that is the stiffer it is. I tend to not use it in things that you wet form, use in order to wet form leather, you've got to soak it. If it's already imbued with oils and waxes, those are both hydrophobic substances. In a thinner weight, it has an amazing strength to it while still keeping a pretty firm hand. So I can go down to say a medium weight, four or five ounce, which has got a cross section of maybe three sixteenths, depending.
