Man and woman are two binary categories which has made it simple for us to navigate gender. But I think what we need to be careful of is when categories get hijacked by ideology, not function up. There was an incident a few years ago on an airline where the duty free trolley had been divided into men and women's perfumes. And there was someone on that flight who thought that that was discriminatory against trans people - he wrote into the airline. So the airline back down, and they don't make distinctions between male and female perfumes anymore.
