How to Break in to the Music Industry

I don't know a ton about the music industry and how easy or difficult it is to kind of break in. Is this kind of process that you went to like networking with people in parties and reaching out to people kind of cold emailing them and learning about different positions through them? I will say that I don't think it's untraditional I mean there's just the way of like interning at Sony and then moving your way up and meeting those people. The networking part is super important I tell that to everybody that like asked me about like how to get into music. This industry is very based on relationships and so networking and meeting people and going to parties makes it easier.
