Sailor Joe and I went to Kosovo in 2003. We wanted T-shirts from the Kosovo Liberation Army, which is like an insurgent group fighting the Serbs slash doing probably some bad ish too. A German patrol stopped us because we were hiking in church ruins where nobody lives anymore. "I'm not stealing the sign because I was touching the sign that was dangling off of a church," he says.
