Calcium Glucanate Stabilizes the Cardiac Membrane
In hyperkalemia, the difference between resting and threshold potentials narrows. This is our unstable or excitable membrane. So what we're looking for in a therapy like calcium is restoration of that larger difference. It's really restoring that difference of somewhere around 20 millivolts.
