The Dangers of AI
Chat GPT is at heart a very, very clever kind of auto complete. There's no God in the machine, there's no soul behind this,. This is just simply reproducing and remixing and mashing up texts that other human beings have written down elsewhere. We still don't understand it at all - even the greatest experts cannot understand how these machines are so good at doing what they're doing. The question is whether or not we should release such technology into the general population.
