Toyota Pulls Out of the Olympics
Japan has just entered its fourth state of emergency during the pandemic. The government is in unenviable position of trying to balance public health fears and criticism from smaller and medium sized businesses desperate for trade. On the streets of ginza, Japan's fancy shopping district, restaurants and bars are particularly frustrated. They were hoping for a big booth from foreign visitors, or at least domestic spectators coming from other parts of the country.
