Richard Sackler's Speech Honoring the Purdue Pharma Sales Staff
Purdue Pharma's new drug OxyContin was approved by the FDA a few weeks ago. The company is trying to get doctors to write prescriptions for off-label use, allowing patients to take OxyContin from moderate and chronic pain. With all the work ahead of them, Purdue flew its sales team out to Arizona in January 1996 so they could bond with each other before launching their campaign. Richard Sackler: "This is the dawn of a new era for Purdue"
