For me, I'm a fan of like the really old. A lot of those historical sites have been renovated so much that when they say that this was this and that, actually it wasn't. So what you're looking at is a upgraded version that's not the authentic. And that's when I think having a tour guide, having a dao you explaining, chatting all the time in the background would be very, very helpful.
