Is Freedman's View on Inflation Different From the Cansians?

Freedman was on board with the basic policy apparatus that the cansians advocated. He thought there should be a federal reserve that had control over the money supply, but only grow it by a very small margin every year. The austrians have much more of a primacy of production rather than consumption. They don't buy into the idea that consumption is what is the first cause or the motor that here gets the economy goin and keeps it going.
